Scott H. Greig

Scott has been a writer/designer since graduating from the School of Journalism at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. He began his professional career as a reporter for a local Charlotte newspaper, he transitioned to the production/design end of publishing in the early 1990s when Apple Computer began to revolutionize desktop publishing (he actually remembers when the LCII was considered to be a “groundbreaking piece of technology”). He’s been a writer, editor, production manager, creative director and photo editor for some of America’s most iconic sports titles, including On Track, NASCAR Scene, NASCAR Illustrated, The Sporting News and Street & Smith’s.

Clients of Greig Graphic Design, LLC have included Lowe’s Home Improvement, MASN (Mid-Atlantic Sports Network), The Baltimore Orioles MLB baseball franchise, Appalachian State University, Roush-Fenway Racing, Joe Gibbs Racing, The NASCAR Foundation, Cabarrus County Convention & Visitors Bureau, Bridgewater Capital and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Western North Carolina.

Away from the computer, Scott is an avid outdoorsman who also cooks, bakes (yes, baking is different than cooking), golfs, reads voraciously and for almost 20 years did a wildly mediocre job of coaching basketball at the YMCA and for a local AAU team.

Scott is also a Board member for Joining Generations, a student-led non-profit that seeks to supplement social engagement for residents of assisted- and senior-living facilities.
